Common Business Language Mistakes -- and How to Avoid Them

It's important to communicate clearly. Fancy fonts and animated graphics are no substitute for good, solid writing. At our company, we see blunders every day. Here's how you can avoid many of them.

I’ve contributed to numerous sewing books as a technical editor and/or writer, researching and developing content about various subjects including fitting, tailoring, quilting, home decorating, and handling maverick fabrics.  Some notable projects are highlighted here.

Lark Books
Asheville, North Carolina

For this book of lingerie projects, I was the technical editor.  I developed and wrote the Basics chapter – an overview and reference section which covers tools, materials, and techniques common to two or more of the projects.

For this quilt book, I was the technical editor.  Besides developing and writing the Basics chapter. I also wrote all the copy for the book, including the headlines and how-to directions for the projects.  Working closely with free lance artists, I developed and edited the illustrations.
